    Vitamix Propel 510

Vitamix Propel 510 BlenderLet’s begin by taking a closer look at the Propel 510 model, which seems like a fusion of the Vitamix 6300 and 6500 blenders. Equipped with a 48-ounce container and driven by a powerful 2.0 horsepower motor, it offers a compelling blend of power and capacity. In terms of dimensions, the Propel 510 measures 9 x 7.5 x 17.5 inches, making it approximately 2.8 inches shorter than the classic 6300 blender, while aligning closely with the size of the 6500 model.

    Control & Design

When it comes to the controls, the Propel 510 boasts a very user-friendly interface. The variable speed dial, ranging from 1 to 10, is the standard control choice for most Vitamix machines, giving users precise control over blending consistency. Beyond the manual control, the blender also offers three automated blending modes. Each of these cater to specific tasks such as crafting smoothies, whipping up hot soups, or creating frozen desserts. There’s a pulse switch available when you need to do more nuanced blending. This allows for basically ingredient chopping, without over-processing. To ensure safety, there’s a master power switch included so you can completely turn the blender on or off.

Vitamix Propel 510 ControlsIn terms of design, the Vitamix Propel 510 blender maintains the familiar aesthetics of legacy Vitamix models. However, there are a couple of slight changes to the control panel. The speed control dial, for instance, appears to be wider and thicker, perhaps designed to provide a better grip for users as they fine-tune their blending preferences. The presets on the Propel 510 are represented by symbols only, rather than symbols with words like on the 6300. This blender also offers a touch of personalization with four distinctive color options, allowing users to seamlessly integrate it into their kitchen décor.

    Power & Performance

The Propel 510 blender is driven by a hefty 2.0 horsepower motor, a rating that aligns with the classic 6300 model. This substantial power ensures that the blender can effortlessly liquefy ingredients, offering remarkable versatility in the kitchen. Whether you’re looking to craft silky-smooth soups or delicate frozen desserts, this model is capable of a wide range of dishes. With its precision speed dial, users can finely tune their blending experience, from a rigorous stir to a vigorous blend, granting full control over the texture and consistency of their creations.

This blender’s convenience extends beyond power and precision though. All your mixtures will take place in a BPA-free 48-ounce jar, providing ample capacity for various recipes. Not only does this jar offer a safe environment for food processing, but it’s also dishwasher safe, simplifying cleanup after you’re finished using your blender. The blender’s trio of preset modes: Smoothie, Hot Soup, and Frozen Desserts ensure consistent results every time you use them. This takes the guesswork out of achieving the perfect blend of your favorite dishes. As with most Vitamix blenders, the reason why people enjoy them so much seems to be due to their high performance and overall versatility. This thing will blend virtually any ingredients you throw at it.

    What’s The Benefit?

There’s a lot to enjoy about the Vitamix Propel 510 blender due to the overall performance and convenient functionally, such as the included preset modes, which some Vitamix models lack. I should also mention that this blender model comes with a long 5-year warranty. That’ll probably give you some mental security, knowing you should have a blender that lasts a good amount of time. I’ve read a lot of people praise Vitamix’s warranty service over the many years they’ve been in business. They’re recommended for yet another reason.

Should You Buy The Vitamix Propel 510?

This is always a tough decision and I know it’s important that you get something you’re happy with and want to use frequently. As a new model you have to compare it to what else Vitamix has already released. How important are the 3 preset modes to you? Do you consider them to be a high priority because of their convenience? Is the 48-ounce container enough for what you’ll be preparing? If you answered yes to those questions, the Propel 510 is definitely something to consider. Lots of performance and some convenient functionality make it a solid choice. If you really don’t care at all about the preset modes, you could consider the E310. It lacks the preset modes completely but offers similar performance for a reduced price compared to the Vitamix Propel Series.

    Vitamix Propel 750

Vitamix Propel 750 BlenderNow we can begin talking about the Vitamix Propel 750 blender, which seems extremely similar in both name and specifications to an older Vitamix model called the: Professional 750. So then you may start to wonder, what’s changed and which one is better? For starters, the newer model does come in at weighing 10 pounds, which is around 2 1/2 pounds lighter. They both have the same 7-year warranty and similar preset modes to choose from.

    Control & Design

The control panel between the Propel 750 vs Propel 510 are pretty much identical, with there being a couple notable additions to the preset choices. The Propel 750 offers five automated blending modes in comparison. These modes all cater to a wide spectrum of tasks including crafting smoothies, piping hot soups, frozen desserts, and dips & spreads. There’s even a Self-Cleaning program, a feature that streamlines maintenance, and is absent from the Propel 510 blender. Those will work to give you consistent results every time. However, if you’d like more control, there’s still a 10 speed dial to manually focus your blends.

Vitamix Propel 750 ControlsOn the design side of things, the Propel 750 diverges from its predecessor, the Professional 750. It features different air intake vents and adopts a more boxy overall profile to match the Propel 510. I personally always liked the look of the Pro 750’s curvy design, so it’s a slight bummer that they had to update this model into a more angular style. Though the blender does weigh 2 1/2 pounds less now, so that’s a decent trade-off.

    Power & Performance

If you think the performance of the Propel 510 is impressive, this model pushes things even further with its 2.2-horsepower motor. This gives your blends a little extra boost of performance so ingredients can incorporate faster and smoother. Combine that with the automated presets and you can start preparing something like a hot soup while you’re busy doing other things in the kitchen. The blender will just take over and run a preprogrammed cycle until it’s finished. Vitamix also has a bunch of different soup recipes you can find and try out. Dips and spreads like a nut butter or hummus are also things people enjoy making with their Vitamix blenders. You may be surprised when you find out that you’re able to prepare quite a large variety of recipes using one of these machines.

The Vitamix Propel 750 comes with a larger 64oz blending container, giving you more room for bigger batches. This makes it perfect for families, or if you’re having people over for dinner and need enough for everyone, or you just really love some of the recipes and want to eat more of it. Having the 64oz container is pretty handy in these scenarios compared to the 48oz blending jar. I should mention that the 64oz jar is also BPA-free and dishwasher safe making cleanup easier. There’s a ton of power here to handle tough ingredients or even solid ice when preparing frozen desserts or cocktails. Having this versatility gives you more freedom to try new things and experiment with recipes.

    What’s The Benefit?

The single most important benefit to using a blender to make dishes is that you’ll be using fresher ingredients. This can help you eat a little healthier and possibly get better nutrients compared to a store bought packaged product of the same thing. Another benefit is the fact that you can make certain recipes that you can’t with other kitchen appliances. You can use the frozen dessert setting to whip up a fresh fruit sorbet for example. Or as I mentioned earlier, a homemade nut butter for sandwiches or something, with zero extra sugar added. One of the most popular things to make is likely smoothies, and there are so many ways to prepare them giving you a fantastic way to start your mornings.

    What’s Included?

    Motor Base
    64-ounce Low-Profile Container
    Low-Profile Tamper
    First Blends Booklet

    Propel 750 Overview

Should You Buy The Vitamix Propel 750?

The Propel 750 has some nice improvements and benefits over the lower models. Having a bit more horsepower will help your blends come together a little more easily. Then having a larger 64oz container allows you to prepare larger batches, which may be important to you, if you plan on making food for multiple people and wanna make sure there’s enough for everyone. The Vitamix Propel 750 vs Professional 750 specifications are very close to each other, with the overall design being the biggest difference in my opinion. If you found the price of one lower than the other, I’d recommend choosing whatever that model is.

Vitamix Propel 510 vs Propel 750

I’m going to assume you’re already interested in buying some sort of high-end blender, whether that’s Vitamix or not, though you’ve probably heard that the brand is highly recommended. Both models offer outstanding performance and convenient features. Ultimately, you’ll have to decide whether you personally need the extra performance, presets, and blender jar size of the Propel 750. If you don’t, then go for the Propel 510 blender instead.

Vitamix Propel Series FoodI should also quickly mention that the Vitamix Propel 750 blender comes with a longer 7-year warranty vs the 5-year found on the 510 model. That would also give you extra coverage if that’s important to your decision.

Propel Series Blenders SmoothiesBoth of the Vitamix Propel Series can help you eat a bit healthier, simply by making it easier to prepare dishes using fresh ingredients. Ask yourself which factors are the most important to you and then narrow down your choices. I don’t think you’d go wrong choosing either one of these models. They would both provide a lot more performance than a random lesser blender. And with the long warranties you’ll be reassured to have a product that lasts a lengthy amount of time.

What Are The Alternative Vitamix Blenders For Me?

For alternatives, you could perhaps choose a Vitamix V1200 model. There aren’t any buttons to directly select presets; however, it is compatible with the Vitamix app, for your smartphone or tablet. This would allow you to select up to 17 preset modes and over 600 recipes. So if you don’t mind using your smart device to activate the presets, or you like the idea of having even more automated modes, the V1200 might fit you perfectly and be a great alternative option.

I know there are sometimes officially renewed models that pop up on Amazon for a discounted price over the MSRP. I’ll include a link below in case you’re interested in checking the latest offers and whether they’re in stock. If there is, I’d recommend adding the blender into your shopping cart in order to see a full total price. There are multiple colors available as well!
