Ninja Chef Countertop Blender CT810 – Should You Even Consider It?

The Ninja Chef countertop blender seems to be an evolution of the Auto-iQ line. It has a very modern design and several appealing features that improve on that foundation. The control panel is illuminated and has an easy-to-use interface for most people. There’s also a powerful 1,500 watt motor inside to handle crushing ice, milling flour, and more.

Ninja CT810 Chef Countertop Blender CT805It does include a 50-recipe booklet to help you get started right away. There are a lot of resources to find recipes online but it’s nice having official ones available from the start. You know they’ll turn out perfectly without too many adjustments.

I’ll go over the many features and point out what’s nice and what sucks. I’m aware there’s a ton of blender choices and you’re trying to figure out which model is right for you. Hopefully, you’ll be a bit more prepared and informed after reviewing this article. I’ll start with the front panel since it’s such a noticeable departure from other Ninja blenders.

Illuminated Panel

The front of the machine houses the controls, which are straightforward and easy-to-use thanks to the clear labeling. Upon powering on the blender you’ll see the display light up with all kinds of options. It’s visually very appealing and gives off a modern, high tech vibe, in my opinion.

One of the most handy features are the automated cycles. These are modes that take the guesswork out of what speed and duration to use and allow you to get consistent results. There are a total of 10 programs to select from, ranging from a wide variety of dishes. Starting from the left and working clockwise, they are: flour/mill, frozen drink, extract, smoothie, soup, ice cream, puree, dips/salsas, dressing, and nut butter. All of them are pretty self-explanatory.

You can also manually adjust the speed/power for complete blending customization. Maybe you’d rather be in full control or you’re preparing something where you aren’t sure which mode to use. Here you can dial in the perfect amount of power to combine your ingredients until it’s just the way you want it. It could also be that you’re creating your own recipe and need it to be blended a certain way. The manual speed dial is perfect for this.

At the bottom are dedicated buttons to switch between auto/manual modes, set a timer, and pulse. If you want to run a preset just click the ‘IQ’ button. If you need manual control just press the button labeled ‘Manual’. Like I said previously, the controls have a clear layout and it’s very straightforward, even though it offers some nice technology features.

Using the Blender

If you aren’t aware of how the automated modes work, it’s actually quite simple. Let’s say you want to make a smoothie; a classic blender use. You’d add in your ingredients, select the smoothie preset, and the blender would automatically adjust its power to blend the ingredients according to a set duration. So, the blender does all of the work and you always get the same results. Pretty handy! You don’t have to worry about over-mixing or making the perfect smoothie one day and it turns out completely different another. Using the presets takes away the hassle and worry about that sort of thing. Watch this short video embedded below for some quick examples.

Cleaning is also convenient since there’s a dedicated “clean” mode you can use. You just add some dish soap and hot water and the machine will run a special cycle to clean the inside of the container. It’s much easier than having to scrub the inside and reach your hand all around. The container has a maximum liquid capacity of 64oz for cold or room temperature liquids and hot liquids have a recommended capacity of 36oz. This is due to steam and pressure that may build up while blending hot mixtures. The cleaning mode has a maximum recommendation of 24oz of liquid with a few drops of dish soap.

What’s Included?

Inside the box you’ll find a 50 recipe booklet to help you get started using your blender immediately. This is nice so you won’t have to worry about testing a recipe you find online that may need additional adjustments or something. One of those included recipes is a great way to start with.

Ninja CT810 Next Gen BladesYou also receive a large 72-ounce blender container to use, which is dishwasher safe and BPA-free. This is the perfect size for families or parties because you can make a large amount at a time. Maybe you’re preparing a soup and need enough for everyone. Or maybe you’re blending smoothies for some sort of party. I don’t know how you plan on hosting parties. Your guests may prefer you stick with frozen cocktails but who knows.

The only other accessories are the vented lid and the tamper. The tamper is what you use to push down the ingredients to ensure everything gets mixed smoothly. Sometimes certain ingredients tend to stick to the sides of the blender container. Having the tamper helps incorporate everything a bit easier.

Ninja smoothie blendThere’s a powerful 1500 watt motor enclosed in the base of the machine that pairs well with all the tech features. Having enough power to pulverize ingredients is essential for this type of blender. You don’t want to be drinking smoothies with chunks of ice or not being able to get a really smooth consistency. You have complete control to blend things a little, or a lot. The pulse button handles delicate salsas while the maximum speed will liquefy everything.

Having the included recipe booklet is also pretty nice. You can begin using your machine right away and know that the recipes will turn out correctly for this specific machine. Having such a large blender jar is also great for families if you’re looking to prepare larger batches of things. Overall it’s a solid blender with modern features that match other high-end brands. You’ll need to review the various features to see if they fit your specific needs. Everyone requires something a little different. Hopefully you’ll be able to get the blender that’s right for you. Hope you’re having a wonderful day and happy blending!
