Orange Creamsicle Smoothie Recipe

orange creamsicle smoothieI think this is one of the best recipes to have during the summer months. Mainly because you can freeze this mixture into homemade popsicles. Which is something everyone around here seems to love, of course.

It’s another simple recipe to make as well since all you have to do is add the ingredients together and blend. If you do plan on making popsicles out of this, make sure to let the mixture sit for a few minutes before pouring. The blending process introduces air bubbles from the milk, you’ll want to try to limit those.

There aren’t many changes or additions you can make to this recipe. You could add a little whipped cream or add another type of fruit juice, but that’s about all I’ve come up with so far.

I think most tropical fruit juices would work pretty well. Something like pineapple or mango will probably make you daydream about being on a sandy beach somewhere.

You don’t really need a reason to make these, but they tend to be a hit during summer hangouts regardless of whether they’re regular smoothies or popsicles.

I’d recommend the popsicle idea especially if you have kids though. They pretty healthy since they’re made with real ingredients, so you can feel good about letting them have a treat. They won’t even know they’re having something nutritious!
