This recipe goes with the holiday flavor theme, it really reminds me of the fall and cold weather whenever I make this. Random fact but I’d say that caramel is one of my favorite flavor additions, that and bacon, but I haven’t come up with a good caramel-bacon dish yet. So I just have to drink this while eating the cheesy bacon soup to satisfy myself. I will succeed someday though! This is perfect any time of the year and it’s something my whole family requests constantly.
Thankfully it’s actually really easy to make, you can make it in front of your friends or family if you want. It usually ends up impressing my friends a decent bit. You can also make this ahead of time and refrigerate it in a jug. You’ll want to shake or blend it before serving though because it will settle while sitting in the fridge.
Try adding whipped cream and a little extra caramel sauce on top, that’s a great way to present it to people. You can also pour it over ice cream to make a type of crazy caramel apple cider float. I’d recommend an ice cream with a similar theme of flavors; such as caramel, cinnamon, or praline. Even vanilla would suffice though since it’s a pretty neutral flavor.
