Blendtec Stealth – The Most Advanced Silent Blender?

The Blendtec Stealth blender sits at the top of the company’s product line and retails for $1,500. It’s marketed as the most advanced blender on the planet, which is a pretty big claim considering everything else available. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the unique 360-degree enclosure which allows the entire machine to run extremely quiet even under the most intense blends.

The machine comes with two blender jars to use: a standard WildSide jar and a Twister jar. I’ll try to cover everything I can about the machine. Hopefully, you’ll soak up enough knowledge to decide whether this specific model is right for you.

Power:

This model contains a massive 3.8 horsepower motor inside rated at 1,800 watts. This is quite a bit more power than what you’ll find in the regular models, which are 3.0 horsepower at 1,560 watts. This allows the machine to tear through any ingredient without breaking a sweat. The CEO/inventor Tom Dickson hosts a popular series online where he grinds up unusual items in his blenders. This showcases the raw power that Blendtec blenders have. I’ll include a video from when he showed it off on The View.

You can see the blender grinds through tough objects without any trouble. It’s pretty safe to say it’ll handle whatever recipe or ingredient you throw into it. You won’t use your machine for anything so extreme but it’s nice to witness the amount of power these machines have. This power allows you to make fresh juice that has a completely smooth consistency for instance, without any chunks of fruit or vegetables.

Motor Safety:

I’ve mentioned this with other models but the giant motor inside the machine does generate quite a bit of heat. This is precisely what allows you to make steaming hot soups. You don’t have to worry about the blender overheating though. It sucks in air to help cool the motor and has a safety shutoff feature, in a worst case scenario. I’ve never had this happen but it’s nice to be aware of, in case you’re worried about that sort of thing.

Advanced Features:

The Stealth model is similar to the Designer Series but on steroids. It has a digital touch interface and an insane 42 preprogrammed blending cycles to choose from! Most blenders that have these automatic presets offer maybe 6 maximum, this has 42 built-in. It doesn’t stop there though, with this model you can use something Blendtec calls the online Blend Wizard. This allows you to download or upload custom blending cycles from other users. The machine has USB functionality so you can directly transfer the custom settings into your blender’s memory.

To explain this a little more clearly I’ll give you a simple scenario. You find a recipe tailored to the Blendtec Stealth online that includes a custom blend cycle to download. You transfer the file using USB to your blender, add the ingredients required, and select the new custom blend cycle. This gives you 100% perfect blending results since it’s tailor-made for just that single recipe. It’s a really cool feature and great to share recipes with friends or family. You basically won’t have to worry about it not turning out correctly.

Blender Noise:

Another big feature is the 360 degree enclosure that reduces the loudness of the machine by a considerable amount. Most recipes don’t take much time to prepare but this is great if you’re sensitive to loud noises. Even with the large motor and intense blends, it stays bearable to your ears. It’s about the sound level of a normal conversation when the blender is sealed. It’s the perfect blender if you like making things late at night, early in the morning, or you have neighbors.

Additional Functionality:

I’ll also mention that this model can be mounted directly into your kitchen countertop. This allows the machine to be flush against the surface. Blendtec realized that people are more likely to use their blender when it’s readily available and not stored in a cabinet, so it’s a great feature if you plan ahead to do this.

The WildSide Jar will handle most recipes but the included Twister Jar will allow you to blend small batches even more efficiently. It’s designed specifically for really this recipes such as homemade peanut butter. It concentrates the power where you need it most.

Conclusion:

I really love the Blendtec Stealth and all of its advanced features. It seems like it’s the model that solves any complaint people may have with high-end blenders. There’s so much power available it will easily handle any recipe you throw at it. You get total manual speed control along with the Blend Wizard functionality for custom automatic presets. It’s also really quiet due to the enclosure, so noise isn’t a big factor for anyone sensitive to loud noises.

It does come at a pretty steep price though. This makes it a big decision compared to buying a cheaper model. You’ll probably be happy to know that Blendtec does offer a 30-day money back guarantee if you aren’t completely satisfied.

Before I end this it’s important to mention that this model also comes with a long 8-year warranty. This means if anything should happen to not work correctly you can get it fixed within that time frame. The company even pays shipping both ways when dealing with repairs, which is always nice to see and something mass market blenders can’t offer.

You’re the only one that can decide whether this model is right for you. Everyone has different needs and you have a lot of options available. Ask yourself what the most important features are and go from there. In my opinion it’s the best if you have the money, love blending everyday, and want the most advanced blender on the market.

Current Blendtec Stealth Offers

Update: It seems as though the Blendtec Stealth has been discontinued and replaced with the Blendtec Professional 800 model for consumers. It’s very similar in terms of features and design. The most noticeable difference is the lack of programmable presets and the Twister jar. You do still have 6 automatic presets to choose from including: Batters, Mixed Drinks, Smoothie, Frozen Treats, Whole Juice, and Hot Soup.

The best part is that you can now buy a brand new machine for only $800 MSRP. That’s $700 off the discontinued Blendtec Stealth model. There’s also an even lengthier 10-year warranty on the 800 model. To view more details click the button below to visit the product page for the latest running offer.
